Slow quilting day....

Well today was a very slow quilting day. I worked on a BOM called Love Letters that I got from Fatquarters.com. It is going to be beautiful, but I have to say I totally understand why they only send one block per month. Oh, and a big THANK YOU to whomever invented the stitch ripper. :)

Did some test quilting on a denim baby quilt. A customer wanted me to quilt on a denim quilt she made from her grandsons old jeans. He is aware that at this point I am only comfortable doing meandering on my long arm machine. I completed a quilt for her a few weeks ago so I'm very excited that she has come back. She even made the test baby quilt because I was unsure about the denim. :)

Did a little shopping today because Hancock Fabric had their Fat Quarters on sale. I love those little things. They are so much fun.

Well, it's late so I think I might call it a night.

    1. Thanks Joan, I have learned so much from everyone else, I thought it might be good for other beginners to hear and see about someone else... Good, bad, stitch rippers and all. It always makes me feel better to know others have some of my struggles also or even better to hear of their struggles and prevent them myself. :)

  2. I have the pattern. I'm currently working on Sherri Falls Cobblestone Lane BOM. The finishing part is taking me longer than the blocks....grin. One day I'll start on Love Letters.

    Thanks for following my blog...Welcome!

    1. I have only completed the first two months so far. I have friends that do three and four of these at a time and I didn't think I wanted to do that but I wanted the experience at something out of my normal box.... Boy was this a good one for out of the box. :).
I am loving all that I am learning so much and learning from all these blogs and other quilters is great... Like a big quilting family. :)

  3. Your quilting looks great. It is amazing how much progress you have made in the short time you have been quilting. You will be amazed at how easy it is to just keep progressing with variations on a theme. You've got loops down, double loops is a nice next step. My favorite pattern is called "black olives" and looks just like your denim quilt with one more loop in the middle.
