Finished blocks on the Jacob's Ladder quilt...

All 49 blocks of my king size Jacobs Ladder quilt are done. Now to sew my rows together....
I am so excited and can't wait to finish it.

Also, received three quilts from Quilts Beyond Borders. Some lovely ladies made the tops and I am quilting them. They will be sent to orphans in Ethiopia (I think).

Well, I'm calling it a night.

Busy week again...

Haven't posted in a little while but have been very busy with quilting and work at the lake.

First, I finished this cute baby quilt for my cousins daughter. It is 2-1/2 in squares. Of course sewn as strips and cut. :)

Next is an Alabama Crimson Tide quilt that will be used in a hospice fundraiser this weekend. Friends made the top and I quilted it.

Finally, worked on my Jacobs Ladder quilt that will be going on my king size bed. I can't wait to get it finished. Right now I have 42 blocks done with at least 7 more to go before borders.

I am waiting on a couple of quilts to arrive in the mail from Quilts Beyond Borders. I thought this was a great way to do something good while allowing me to practice more.

See, told ya I've been busy. :)

Ready to start practicing feathers and trying to decide if I want to put scrap material on to practice or if I just want to put a scrap quilt on.

Finished Several Projects This Weekend

This was a busy weekend with my projects and I'm so excited.

Finished a denim quilt for a customer. This is her second quilt to bring me. I was not going to take in other peoples quilt until my skills were better, HOWEVER, I told her exactly what I was comfortable doing and suggested if she wanted anything else to please take it to someone different. Honest is always the best.

Next I have been working for a couple of weeks on two quilts for sisters. They are t-shirt and jersey quilts. Using a good stabilizer was a must and I didn't have any problems. Very excited. Emma and Baylee have been on the same team since they were little.

Next I worked on my Jacob's Ladder quilt that will go on my king size bed. I got the idea from Missouri Quilt Company. It is going to be perfect and I can't wait until it is finished.

Finally, started working on one of my 2012 goals... to learn about different threads. I have placed my first order for Signature/King Tut and will be ordering some other kinds soon. I want to become an expert so that when customers want to know, I will be able to answer.

Oh, almost forgot, Hunters baby quilt got put on the home page of one of the quilting groups I belong to. That was exciting. :)

Slow quilting day....

Well today was a very slow quilting day. I worked on a BOM called Love Letters that I got from Fatquarters.com. It is going to be beautiful, but I have to say I totally understand why they only send one block per month. Oh, and a big THANK YOU to whomever invented the stitch ripper. :)

Did some test quilting on a denim baby quilt. A customer wanted me to quilt on a denim quilt she made from her grandsons old jeans. He is aware that at this point I am only comfortable doing meandering on my long arm machine. I completed a quilt for her a few weeks ago so I'm very excited that she has come back. She even made the test baby quilt because I was unsure about the denim. :)

Did a little shopping today because Hancock Fabric had their Fat Quarters on sale. I love those little things. They are so much fun.

Well, it's late so I think I might call it a night.

WOW Have I been busy the last few days.

The last few days have been a quilting mad house around here.  :)

I had started a baby quilt that needed to be finished because Hunter was born yesterday (Feb 3rd). I had only done a partial top. Had to complete the top and quilt.

On top of that, I was busy making burp cloths for both Hunter and Paige (sorry didn't get finished pictures).  Paige got a pink one made like the blue one.  They aren't twins, just real close together.  (I figured out what people did after the Alabama tornadoes this year.  I have about four more baby quilts to make in the next few weeks.)  :)

Oh and I am working on two quilts for a customer with her daughters ball jersey's.

I am loving the way this is turning out.  I have the first one quilted, so I just need to do the binding and then put the second one together (most of the prep work is already completed on the second one.)

Well, better get off here and get busy.
