Quilting In Progress....

When I think of my Great Grandmothers quilts, this is exactly what I think of.
All scrappy, 2" squares....  Love it!
I have been so honored by this family and the fact that they have trusted me with their treasures.

Happy Quilting!

Quilting in progress...

So I have came up with a name (nothing fancy or unique) to add to these post letting you know what we are quilting NOW!

Welcome to "Quilting In Progress..."

Just a sneak peek!  I will later turn the quilt with wonky lines going in the other directions to make some wonky squares.  The will not distract from the beautiful quilt panel as much as meandering.

Here it is complete...
I love the simple lines.  They give texture and dimension without distraction.

Hope my customer likes it.

Another beautiful customer quilt

This is my new favorite quilt pattern.  It's kinda a swirly meandering feather looking design.
Jan did a beautiful job on the top and it made my job so much easier.

Snowball Fight 2 - another great customer quilt!

Beth's quilt from the Snowball Fight Quilt Class is now finished and she picked it up today.  She really enjoy using the Accuquilt GO! Fabric Cutter.

I think she is happy and I think her sweet granddaughter will love it!

Congrats Beth and thank you for taking the class.

Now a few more pictures for eye candy!

I just love quilting, teaching and seeing a good finished quilt.

Happy quilting!

Talkin Turkey - Bonnie Hunter's Class

What a great day today!  Spent the day with some wonderful ladies working on a new quilt.

First of all, we spent the night at Windmill Bed & Breakfast in Oliver Springs, TN.
It is an old church turned into a B&B.  Slept great and had a wonderful breakfast this morning.  They cater to ATV riders, so if that's you, go visit them.

Then off to class.  The block starts with nine patches and string pieced triangles and builds from there.
Yep, I had to be different and use green.  It is my favorite color.
You can see Bonnie's finished quilt behind us.
Great day, great fun and great memories.  Is that what quilting is all about?

Congratulations to Darlene on. Great quilt!

Just wanted share with everyone Darlene and her second quilt.  She recently took my Snowball Fight quilting class and made this beautiful quilt top which was then quilted by Stitches N Stories Quilting.  Darlene cut out all the pieces using AccuQuilt GO! Snowball die and the 2-1/2" square die.  What a joy!
I think she is proud of her hard work.  Just beautiful Mrs Darlene.

Now some shots of the quilting.  I did some swirly meandering to play off the peacock feathers in the snowballs.  Used King Tut thread on this one.  I'm normally an OMNI thread girl though.
