Progress on Custom Sampler Quilt

I am so impressed with my way my little quilt is coming along.  I have completed one color thread pass and am on my second.  Want a sneak peak?
I have gone straight line and cross hatch crazy with the help of Quilter's Groove Proline rulers.  I will be featuring these at a great introductory price at my web store real soon!  They are amazing!

  2. Just beautiful! Have missed lots of your posts even tho I thought I had subscribed, so remedied that this morning. When you quilt a block in this fashion, do you quilt in the ditch first to stabilize, or is that not necessary? Keep having to re-learn things as summer and yard interfere with my quilting. sigh...have enjoyed catching up on your growing business and lovely quilting projects!

    1. Thank you dear! The business is slowly growing and for that I feel blessed. :)
SITD - because I had to roll the quilt back and forth with all the thread color changes, SITD was a must. But I think I have decided that I just like the way it looks. It seems to jut give the block a more finished look or maybe boundaries. In most of the "sections" I also did an outline stitch about a 1/4" from the STID. That seem to make the designs standout a little more by having that break in stitching.
I hope to get the binding on this week and post the finished quilt.
I totally understand about life getting in the way of our quilting. :). I just don't understand sometimes why dinner is more important.

Thanks for your explanation, that makes sense. Plus I think the back would look more...detailed? for lack of a better word.

Love the dresden plate quilt plus applique you did using the accuquilt dies...gorgeous!
